McAlister Home

"People today crave fresh tastes, quick service and a welcoming friendly atmosphere.  A place where they can relax for hours or eat and run."

This is the description of McAlister's Deli on their website and I couldn't agree more.  Fresh food and quick service with a smile all at an affordable price.  The national chain, known for their Famous Sweet Tea, opened its doors in Mid-Missouri not too long ago and has been a big hit in Columbia and Jefferson City ever since.

McAlister roast beefWalking into McAlister's Deli you'll have an inviting seating area on both sides with a massive menu ahead of you.  With over 100 different items, you may need a few  minutes to get your taste buds and eyes on the same page.  Sandwiches, spuds, soups, salads, and everything else is on McAlister's menu.  Really, the only thing missing is fried or greasy food, which is a huge plus for many people.

They have Deli sandwiches, signature sandwiches, and just sandwiches.  Everything from smoked turkey to sweet berry chicken and a BLT.  Sandwiches aren't your thing? McAlister's can still satisfy with meatloaf, roast beef, roasted chicken or many other itmes from the Dinner menu.  Maybe you'll be fine with just a salad, cup of soup, or chili.  No matter how many times you come to McAlister's, you'll need a minute or two for you next selection.

McAlister SpudAmong the exceptional variety, the spud stands supreme.  Not just any spud, but McAlister's Giant Spuds. These are very, very large potatoes.  You can have your spud topped with just about anything.  The Just-a-Spud includes lite sour cream and green onions on the side which is by far the most basic spud around.  The Cheese Spud comes loaded with cheddar and Swiss.  The Spud Ole kicks it up a notch with chili, cheddar and Swiss cheese, sliced jalapenos and red onions on the side.  The Spud Max means business and is topped with ham, turkey, bacon, cheddar, Swiss, green onions, black olives and lite sour cream.  These spuds don't mess around.

I made up my mind, eventually, and went with the Grilled Chicken Spud.  A huge display of Spud supremacy filled up my whole basket and was topped with grilled chicken strips, Swiss cheese and green onions.  I've never seen a super spud disappear so quickly.  All the ingredients came together to make one outstanding lunch that will have me coming back to try the other spud concoctions.

McAlister's Deli likes to do it up big.  Big spuds, big menu, big taste and big meals all for a small price.  Walk into McAlister's today, step back from the menu, take your time and pick out a great meal.  McAlister's Deli always delivers fresh food and quick service with a special touch that's uniquely their own.
