From the moment you step out of your vehicle and walk up the steps to The Forge and Vine, an intoxicating aroma fills your lungs and evokes thoughts of New York City's finest dining. Located in downtown Columbia, The Forge And Vine has a distinctly appealing atmosphere.
As you step inside The Forge And Vine, you'll find yourself awestruck by their ski lodge decor, making you feel as though you left mid-Missouri for the slopes of Aspen. With the dark wood surroundings and white tablecloths, The Forge and Vine is nothing less than relaxing. 
Besides satisfying even the most discerning pallet with the options on their entrees menu, The Forge and Vine has an extensive selection of appetizers, ranging from their delicious Forge Chicken Skewers, which are marinated, grilled, and served to perfection with a chipotle dressing over straw onions, or their sumptuous Prairie Pepper Hummus topped with red pepper and fresh cilantro. Whatever your taste buds desire, The Forge and Vine will surely hit the spot at an economical price.
The Forge and Vine successfully mixes fine dining with a casual atmosphere. It matters not what your appetite may suggest, The Forge and Vine satisfies with a wide array of dinner choices. From their half pound Portabella Buffalo Burger, topped with a garlic-roasted portabella mushroom and mozzarella cheese, to one of their famous hand-cut steaks like the center-cut filet, you will not leave here hungry or disappointed.
Starting off the evening with a sampling of the Forge Chicken Skewers and Caesar salad may have been my best decision of 2008. That is until, I ended my experience at The Forge and Vine with my entree of fresh coastal salmon basted in Forge butter and roasted with fresh herbs and spices, served timely, mixing a delightful blend of sophistication with a touch of traditionalism.
Live Music illuminates the atmosphere Wednesday thru Saturday with some of Mid-Missouri's finest talent performing at The Forge And Vine. Plus, you'll find great happy hour and late night specials, which will surely accommodate either your private or group excursions.
The food and service at The Forge and Vine epitomize what we expect out of a mid-Missouri establishment - Affordable, scrumptious cuisine and a courteous, helpful wait staff. My overall experience can be described as delightful and relaxing. I will be back!
